I’m Robert Nelson — a Bletchley-based wedding photographer who’s a little bit obsessed with capturing people being people. My approach is simple: keep things relaxed, plan the important moments, then get out of the way and shoot the real emotion that makes a wedding unique. If you hate being put through uncomfortable poses, you’ll be at home with me — I prefer gentle guidance and natural movement over staged performances. I sit somewhere between documentary and creative portraiture. That means I’m constantly looking for the candid moments — the laughter, tears, stolen glances and chaos — while also planning for the classic images couples want to treasure. I’ll carve out a short moment for bridal portraits and a few relaxed group shots, then let the day unfold. My “no‑barriers” approach gets me where the action is so I can create intimate, in-the-moment images without being intrusive. You’ll notice a few signature ideas in my work: wide-angle drama for those album-cover moments, simple walking shots that help you relax, close-up “rounds” for intimacy, and honest captures of the party when everyone lets their hair down. I aim for images that feel timeless with a slightly cinematic, print-inspired colour grade — pictures that look great on a wall or in an album and take you right back to the day. Working with me is informal and personal. We’ll meet over a free coffee to talk timings, locations and what matters most to you. I’ll share planning pointers to keep your day running smoothly and help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. After the wedding you’ll get a curated gallery of images to relive the day and plenty of high‑resolution files to print and share. While wedding photography is my core focus, I also offer complementary services: cinematic wedding videography through my NelsonFilms work to give you moving memories, and portrait/headshot sessions from my studio when available. These are offered as additions to round out your coverage — photography remains my specialism.
