Hi — I’m Craig, the photographer and filmmaker behind Silver & Light. Based near Bingley (Saltaire, West Yorkshire), I specialise in wedding photography and videography, combining a calm, natural approach with an artistic, cinematic eye. My work is built around real moments — the small, unscripted details and the relaxed interactions that make each wedding unique. What makes Silver & Light different is the blend of real film and modern digital techniques. I shoot 35mm film for that warm, tactile look and use Super8 when a timeless, analogue mood is perfect for a short film of the day. I then combine those elements with digital capture to make sure you get both fine, modern clarity and the soulful character of film. That mix gives your images and films a stylish, editorial feel influenced by my background in design, animation and filmmaking. I approach each wedding with friendliness and discretion. Before the day we’ll chat about the feel you want, scout locations where possible and, if you’d like, do an engagement shoot so you’re comfortable in front of the camera. On the day I work quietly and confidently, looking for honest moments while gently guiding portraits so they feel natural rather than staged. Beyond photography, I make short wedding films using a mix of digital and Super8 footage.
