I'm Emma — the owner and boss lady of Emma Shelton Photography, based in Bingley, West Yorkshire. I’ve been a photographer since 2001 and have run my own business since 2014. Weddings are where I truly come alive: I love being part of your day, quietly catching the small, tender moments as well as the big, joyful ones. My approach to wedding photography is relaxed, natural and documentary-led. I don’t overpose; instead I watch for those fleeting glances, belly laughs, wiped-away tears and the chaotic-but-perfect family moments that make each wedding unique. I want your photos to feel like your day — honest, warm and full of personality — so I work gently alongside you to create images that sit comfortably on your walls and in your hearts. I know how camera-shy it can feel, and I pride myself on putting people at ease. Whether we’re stealing a quiet moment between the ceremony and the reception or letting the evening unfold around us, I aim to be calm, friendly and unobtrusive. My background photographing families, babies and newborns gives me patience and soft-handling experience that translates beautifully to family groups and children at weddings — I know how to catch real smiles without forcing them.
