I’m Nick — a Billingham-based wedding photographer who loves documenting real days, real people and the small moments that make each wedding unique. I’ve chosen to specialise in wedding photography because nothing beats the responsibility and joy of recording the emotion, energy and connection of a couple’s biggest day. My style is relaxed, natural but beautiful and documentary-styled: I look for the unscripted smiles, the quiet glances and the chaos that becomes the best stories. Why choose me? As a family man who loves the outdoors — the mountains, woods and coast — I’m happiest capturing couples in natural light and honest settings. I’ve photographed ceremonies across the North East and further afield, from barn venues and tipis to country houses and lakeside spots. That experience means I know how to read light, adapt to weather, and anticipate the moments you’ll want to keep forever. How I work: my approach is to blend in and document. I’ll arrive early, get a feel for the day and quietly capture preparation, guests and details without interrupting the flow. For couple portraits I prefer short, fun sessions that keep you laughing and relaxed — you won’t be away from your guests for long. When needed I’ll offer simple, gentle direction to create beautiful frames, but my priority is always genuine emotion over staged perfection. I value a personal connection with the couples I work with. Before the wedding we’ll chat — over coffee or a video call — to talk through your plans and get to know each other. Many couples opt for an engagement shoot so we can loosen up in front of the camera before the big day; it’s a great way to relax and plan images you’ll love. Although weddings are my core focus, I also shoot portraits, family, maternity, animal and occasional commercial work — but I always return to weddings, where my experience and heart truly lie.
