I'm Tim of TJ Fotos, a wedding specialist based in and around Bath. Photography began as a passion during my military career and has since become my full-time focus. That background taught me to read light, composition and timing — skills I bring to every wedding to make sure no meaningful moment goes unnoticed. As a dedicated wedding photographer I aim to balance the formal with the candid. I’ll capture the key group shots you want while staying alert for those off-script moments that reveal real emotion and atmosphere. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive: I put people at ease so smiles and connections feel natural rather than forced. Many couples tell me they hardly noticed I was there during the day — yet the photos tell the whole story. Working with me is straightforward and personal. I take time to understand the day you’re planning, your must-have images and any special moments you want preserved. On the wedding day I work efficiently and sensitively, moving between the important formals and the spontaneous memories as they unfold. All wedding packages include high-quality digital images of the event; I can also supply archival prints up to A3+ and source photobooks through trusted external suppliers on request. My style draws on an eye for light, shadow and composition developed over years of practice and continued learning. Since leaving the army in 2011 I’ve invested in my craft through dedicated training and real-world experience across ceremonies, venues and family gatherings. That experience helps me adapt to the varied lighting and fast pace of wedding days in Bath and the surrounding counties. While weddings are my primary focus, I also shoot portraits and family sessions — often used to create engagement-style portraits, rehearsal images or pre-wedding family keepsakes.
