I’m Richard from Specular Visuals — a wedding specialist based in Bartley Green, working with a small, collaborative team to tell real love stories through both photography and film. Weddings are our core focus: we approach each day as a unique story to be documented honestly, without forced poses or stiff direction. For portraits we give simple, gentle direction — two short portrait moments (a quick stroll before dinner and a golden-hour pause) that produce timeless, authentic couple images without stealing your day. Video is an equal pillar of what we do. We craft cinematic highlight films that combine carefully observed moments with strong storytelling — and where appropriate, we add aerial drone footage to give your film a sweeping sense of place and atmosphere. Working with both photo and film specialists (or choosing our combined photography & videography option) means a coordinated, complimentary capture of the whole day — the little details, the vows, the speeches and the dancefloor energy — without competing for space. We love working at iconic and intimate venues alike across the UK and enjoy travelling to capture the full spectrum of wedding styles. On the morning of the wedding we prioritise building rapport — learning names, calming nerves and creating a comfortable atmosphere before we press record or lift a camera. For family photos we keep the process efficient and fun, using a “family wrangler” system so you can get back to celebrating.
