Hi, I’m Julie. As an experienced wedding photographer based in Barnstaple, North Devon, my focus is telling the true story of your day — from the quiet, intimate moments to the big, joyful celebrations. Over a varied career working across the pond and closer to home, I’ve refined a relaxed, unobtrusive approach that lets people be themselves and enables authentic emotion to shine through in every frame. Why choose me for your wedding? I work in a mixture of Natural, Classic, Candid, Reportage and Fine Art styles so your gallery becomes a rich narrative — reportage images that capture atmosphere and emotion, balanced with beautiful portraits and family groups. I only photograph one wedding per day which means my full attention is on you and your guests. That focus, combined with years of experience (from photographing on ships in North America and the Caribbean to working in London and with Waverley Photographic), gives couples confidence that every key moment will be covered. How I work with couples: it starts with a relaxed consultation where we look through examples of previous weddings and album styles so you can see how your story could be presented. On the day I adopt a calm, efficient manner — blending into the background for candid moments while stepping forward confidently for portraits and formal groups. After the wedding I carefully edit your images and deliver a password-protected online gallery (usually within a few weeks) so friends and family can share and download your photos. Bespoke storybook albums, USBs and keepsake boxes are available and each album is designed in-house so no two are the same. I love North Devon — its beaches, countryside and moorland provide beautiful locations for portraits and couple shoots. While weddings are my speciality, I also photograph portraits and family sessions, so if you’d like engagement or family images to complement your wedding story I can help with those too.
