Hi there — I’m Emma. Based in Newton-le-Willows and serving Ashton in Makerfield and the surrounding area, I specialise in wedding photography with a clear focus on capturing the real, unscripted moments that make each celebration unique. With a degree from JMU and more than 15 years of experience (shooting weddings since 2003), my approach blends careful composition with a story-led, documentary sensibility. I’m passionate about capturing beautiful moments in time — the quiet glances, the laughter between toasts, the little details that couples often remember most. My aim is to create images that feel natural, emotional and true to your day. What makes my wedding work different is the balance I strike between being unobtrusive and being there when it matters. I work with couples in a relaxed, friendly way: we start with a free consultation to talk through your plans and get to know each other, and I’ll help shape timings so we capture the best light and the most meaningful moments. On the day I blend gentle direction for portraits with a reportage eye for candid storytelling, so you end up with a mix of intimate portraits and authentic documentary images. I also offer beautiful storybook albums to turn your favourite images into a keepsake you’ll return to for years to come. Images are carefully edited to reflect the tone and emotion of your day, delivered with care and presented so family and friends can enjoy them easily. Although my primary focus is wedding photography, I also photograph families and maternity sessions, which means I’m comfortable working with children, extended family groups and mixed venue conditions — all useful experience for wedding days that move between indoor and outdoor spaces.
