I’m Matt — the face behind embee Photography. Based in Ashton in Makerfield, I specialise in documentary, relaxed wedding photography that puts you and your guests at the centre of the story. After 13 years behind the camera and more than 200 weddings, I’ve honed an approach that hunts down those honest, unguarded moments: the laughter, the tears, and the dancefloor chaos that make every wedding unique. Influenced by street photography, I favour bold framing, strong light and compositions that feel modern and slightly alternative. You won’t find me hiding in a corner; I’ll be right in the thick of it to capture the emotion as it unfolds. During the day I’m constantly scanning for ‘moments that matter’ so nothing important slips by. For portraits, I’ll take you away for a short, relaxed 15-minute session to create artistic couple shots that complement the documentary story — quick, creative and designed to get you back to celebrating. I keep things friendly and straightforward. Before your wedding we’ll have a chat so I understand what matters most to you — your people, the timings, the little details — and to make sure you’re comfortable with the way I work. If you’d like, a pre-wedding (engagement) shoot is available to help you get used to being photographed and to build that easy rapport on the day.
