I’m Jamie Penfold, an Ashford-based wedding photographer with more than 20 years behind the lens. I specialise in wedding photography — capturing the unplanned glances, quiet tears, and raucous laughter that make each day unforgettable. My work is built around genuine moments and a relaxed, unobtrusive approach so your photos feel like the day felt: natural, joyful and true to you. My style blends documentary instincts with a creative eye. I spend time getting to know couples well before the wedding so I can anticipate the moments that matter. That means as well as pre-wedding catch-ups (face-to-face or by video) I’ll visit venues where possible and, if you choose, shoot a pre-wedding/engagement session to help you feel relaxed on the day. On the wedding day I aim to be a familiar, friendly presence — focused, professional and ready to capture everything from bridal prep through to first dance. I keep things simple and personal: a small set of flexible options designed around real weddings rather than rigid packages. Wherever you’re celebrating — local venues across Kent and the UK or a destination in Europe — I bring the same care and creativity. For destination weddings I’ve worked across Spain, Italy and Portugal, and I’ll coordinate with you ahead of time so the photography feels seamless on the day. Deliverables are straightforward and client-focused: high-resolution, print-ready files and low-resolution social versions are supplied via a secure cloud folder, with images backed up for life. If you’d like a keepsake, I also offer story-led photobooks to showcase your favourite moments in a crafted layout.
