I’m Gareth Davies and at Studio GD Photography I specialise in wedding photography from my base in Aldershot. My approach has a strong documentary feel — I look to capture the laughter, the tears and the little unscripted moments that make a wedding uniquely yours. Each wedding is different and I work with couples to ensure the photographs reflect their individuality, using both natural light and studio elements for those special bridal portraits. With over two decades in photography I bring experience shooting everything from intimate ceremonies to full-day receptions. My background includes editorial and sports work for national publications and commercial clients, which trained me to anticipate decisive moments and to work calmly under pressure. I am also a member of The Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers (SWPP), a mark of the professional standards I bring to every booking. How I work with you: we start with a pre-wedding conversation — in person or over the phone — to talk through your day, the tone you want and any must-have shots. Many couples choose an engagement/pre-wedding shoot to get comfortable in front of the camera and to create a set of images you can use for announcements and stationery. On the wedding day I blend documentary coverage with thoughtful portrait time, always aiming to keep things relaxed so you can enjoy the day while I capture it. After the wedding I carefully edit your images to tell a coherent story of the day. Final delivery options include high-resolution edited images presented in a personalised box and secure online galleries for sharing with friends and family. I also offer albums and print products to help you display your favourite moments. Although based in Aldershot (Surrey), distance is no object — I regularly cover weddings across the UK and can travel abroad.
